The Computerized Accounting Course is designed to teach entry level accounting skills use latest technology software. The basis of the course is the development of knowledge that will allow students to obtain employment in positions that require basic accounting knowledge. Some aspects covered in this course are: accounting careers, starting a proprietorship, analyzing transactions, journalizing transactions, and posting to a general ledger.


The Computer Science Technology course provides training in all business areas including but not limited to WordPerfect and Microsoft Office Suite (keyboarding, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation program). Students also receive instruction in Systems Operation (XP) and Graphic Design. Students who complete the entire course curriculum may receive instruction in Visual Basic Computer Programming and Business Simulation.


The Cosmetology Course provides classroom and practical experiences concerning the variety of beauty treatments, including but not limited to shampoos, rinses, scalp treatments, hairstyling, hair setting, cutting, bleaching, permanent waves, facials, manicuring, hand and arm massage, bacteriology, anatomy hygiene, sanitation, salon management, and customer relations. This program is designed to qualify students for the State Licensing Examination.


The Drafting Technology program prepares individuals to perform routine tasks in the art and practice of designing building structures, formation, unifying of structures in the architectural products and in methods and style of buildings. Student will receive classroom instruction, lectures, and practical experiences on procedures and polices required by the State of Arkansas.


The Horticulture and Landscaping program is designed to train students in the skill and knowledge which will enable the student to seek employment in the following areas: nursery, garden center, green house, grass farming, landscaping, contractor and maintenance.


The Office Technology course is designed to prepare students for a career in an office environment. Course material includes how to transcribe accurately from tapes and written notes, produce acceptable letters and documents, and keep records using correct accounting procedures. Students are instructed on the use of various office machines including word processing equipment.
