The Auto Paint/Body program prepares individuals to repair automobile bodies and fenders. Instruction includes body preparation for painting and finishing, paint matching, basic metal and body repair. Safety and safe work habits are stressed at all times.

The Automotive Mechanics course is designed to prepare students to become proficient in diagnosing, trouble-shooting, repairing, and servicing all systems of the automobile.

The Combination Welding course includes safety training, welding processes such as coated electrode, Tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, oxyacetylene and plasma arc cutting, shop math, and blueprint reading. Students gain the experience and knowledge through practical applications on live projects.

The Computer Repair program is an accellerated two phase prgram designed to prepare trainees for entrance into the job market. The initial phase indoctrinates the student in terminology, assemblage, configuration and basic trouble shooting and diagnostic techniques. The other phase is oriented toward A+ certification preparation. Riverside does not certify its students.

The Computer Science Technology course is a competency-based course providing entry-level job skills in Windows Operating System, Computer Concepts and Computer Applications. It entails 1440 hours of hands-on lab instruction in several software packages including WordPerfect and the Microsoft Office Suite. Keyboard proficiency and Employability Skills are mandatory for course completion. Exemplary students who complete the entire course curriculum within the required time may receive instruction in Visual Basic or Business Simulation.

The Farm/Diesel course is designed to give instruction on repair of all types of diesel engines and the repair and maintenance of all farm equipment. Students receive instructions on disassembly, inspecting, measure, identify, overhaul and trouble-shooting. Students are taught on all types of power trains, transmissions, clutches and all other areas that are involved in converting engine power to the actual working power. Safety and safe work habits are stressed at all times.

The Food Service Technology course is designed to prepare individuals to perform a wide range of duties in the overall production and serving of food for human consumption. Instructions include selecting, preparing and serving foods in designated quantities while maintaining the nutritional value of foods. Students also learn to observe all safety precautions and health and sanitation regulations leading to the proper storage and handling of foods. Instruction also include selecting and proper use of commercial equipment for production and services. Students also receive instructions in managing, preparation and service areas, maintaining inventories, management of facilities, which leads to management of food service establishments.

The HVAC course is designed to give instruction on installation, repair, and maintenance of A/C, heating and refrigeration equipment along with the necessary electrical and math training.

The Plumbing course is designed to introduce students to basic plumbing skills. Students will be provided classroom instructions on related subjects, fitting and pipe identification, repair and installation practices. Students gain knowledge through practical application on realistic projects.

The Residential Carpentry course in which students are instructed in contracts, building codes, permits and inspections and the basics of blueprints, symbols and skill in reading blueprints. Students are encouraged to develop skills in preparing blueprints and introduced to the principles involved in planning a home that is both attractive and functional. Instruction is also given in pre-construction floors, wall framing, roof framing, exterior and interior finishing.

The Residential Electricity course is designed to prepare individuals to install, operate, maintain and repair electricity-energized systems. Instructions on available products and materials and estimations of materials and time are required.

The Small Engine Repair course is designed to instruct students in the proper use of hand tools and other equipment used in small engine repair. Through the use of Audio Visual tape programs, students are trained to disassemble, inspect, measure, identify, evaluate, overhaul and make repairs to both two cycle and four cycle engines. Knowledge and experience are gained from actual hands on work. Safety is a vital part of the training and is taught at all times.
