The Building Grounds Maintenance Program is designed to provide students with practical experiences leading to entry-level skills in maintenance occupations. These experiences include: identifying and handling building materials: performing grounds keeping and landscaping duties; basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs; safety and use of power tools; and those tasks which enable a building to be maintained in a clean, safe and pleasant condition. The program has been developed to provide the students with a balance of hands-on construction and maintenance projects.

The Cabinet Making course is designed to prepare students for job entry level competency in the following woodworking areas: operation of hand and power tools, management of materials, and inventory of tools and equipment.

The Combination Welding course includes safety training, welding processes such as coated electrode, Tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, oxyacetylene and plasma arch cutting, shop math, and blueprint reading. Students gain the experience and knowledge through practical applications on live projects.

The Drafting Course if designed to prepare individuals to perform routine tasks in the art and practice of designing building structures, formation, unifying of structures in the architectural products and in methods of style of buildings. Students will receive classroom instruction, lectures, and practical experiences on procedures and policies required by the State of Arkansas.

The Horticulture and Landscaping program is designed to train students in the skill and knowledge which will enable the student to seek employment in the following areas: nursery, garden center, green house, grass farming, landscape, contractor and maintenance.

The Small Engine Repair course is designed to instruct students in the proper use of hand tools and other equipment used in small engine repair. Through the use of Audio Visual tape programs, students are trained to disassemble, inspect, measure, identify, evaluate, overhaul, and make repairs to both two cycle and four cycle engines. Knowledge and experience are gained from actual hands on work. Safety is a vital part of the training and is taught at all times.
